2002 Contender – 36 Open (Reel Jiggy) for sale

“Reel Jiggy” is described as a molded fiberglass hull, deep-V, planning type, with rising sheer line, slightly flared bow, raked fine entry stem, moderate freeboard, hard chines, stepped down transom at keel with integral swim platform/splash well and starboard transom cut away boarding gate. The vessel was originally constructed by Contender Boats, Hull color is Fighting Lady yellow gel cote with blue pinstripe boot stripe, blue anti-foul bottom coating, and stainless steel rub rail. Gunnell above the rub rail is a white gel coat.

In the last survey, the vessel was found to be adequately equipped and properly maintained for coastal fishing and private pleasure.

Deck & Superstructure

The vessel is constructed in an ‘open fisherman’ style showing cored fiberglass composite liner supported from below by bulkheads.

The weather deck is constructed of fiberglass composite with AL600 epoxy-impregnated Baltek balsa core. The deck is finished in a painted non-skid coating that displays good non-skid characteristics with multiple flush storage lockers, insulated fish boxes, and access to thru hulls.

The center console is constructed of fiberglass-wrapped plywood with an exterior and interior light yellow gel coat finish. An adequately proportioned helm console centerline shows the helm, navigation electronics, 12-volt switches, and storage.

Engine Description:

The vessel was repowered in 2017 with all-new main engines, Yamaha electronic steering, and Simrad autopilot. Engines fitted with stainless steel Yamaha Saltwater Series propellers. Engine throttle and shift controls are Yamaha fly-by-wire port and starboard with engine engage indicator. Emergency engine shut down pull clip with a lanyard at helm ignition.
