The HC50 is a “cruising boat with an attitude” – featuring a big masters cabin with own bathroom, airconditioning, watermaker (2015), washer/dryer as well as a full carbon rigging, bow sprit, very light weight (18.000lbs empty), water ballast tanks to keep her pointing upwind (8´ draft).

The boat has been hit by Irma on the hard in Virgin Gorda, BVI. She toppled over in her hurricane hole and broke the keel. Right now she is righted again. Damage is the broken keel, a couple of punctures in the hull (no major water damage though as she was/is on the hard), solar panels (2015), wind generators (2015) and damge to the stainless steel railing mainly in the cockpit area. The rigging is new (2016) as are the lithium-iron batteries (2017).
Due to the keel damage the boat is CTL´ed and the owners do not have the time to rebuild her or to supervise rebuilding.
