DESCRIPTION:

This vessel was in the British Virgin Islands during Hurricane Irma in September 2017. The boat was partially submerged on one hull (owner’s version port hull). As a result, the interior trim and electricals on this hull have been affected. The metal stanchion railings and one davit at the stern for the dinghy lift are bent.

Despite previously being chartered, this boat has only 180 engine hours. Both Yanmar 30HP engines are working well, with folding propellors. Mast, steering, rigging and sails are all good. We have recently replaced the white sailbag with a reconditioned navy blue sailbag. All lines run neatly to the helm, making the boat very easy to drive single-handed. Also features red lines on port and green lines on starboard.

The boat has lights, fans, toilets, showers, running water, VHF, stereo, fridge, gas stove, jammers, electric winch, anchor winch and bilge pumps all working. Solar panels have been installed on the hardtop bimini above the helm, which is enough to run the fridge and lights etc, making the boat self-sufficient for a liveaboard arrangement.

The boat was hauled out in January 2018 for the hull fibreglass and gelcoat repairs, as well as new anti-fouling paint and anodes. While the boat was out of the water, a surveyor checked the hull and repairs to ensure everything was in order; and the rigging and engines were also surveyed once back in the water. This report is available to interested buyers.

The vessel is currently located in dry storage at St Kitts Marine Works, St Kitts, Caribbean. Please look at flights to SKB airport, if travelling from abroad.

The price is far below other Lagoon 39 catamarans, due to the minor imperfections that still remain. Ideal for a buyer after a late model catamaran who is not too worried about aesthetics; or someone willing to do the remaining electrical work, interior wood work and exterior metal work to save some money. She can be lived in and sailed away today!

REPAIRS STILL NEEDED:

Two rear side rail stanchions are missing. We have some stainless steel rails that can be modified to replace, but not exact replacements. Also one rail at the stern near the dinghy lift is rather bent and needs work

One davit for the dinghy lift is bent slightly, but it’s strong and still works fine, it’s just not 100% straight

Autopilot computer got wet. The boat needs the autopilot computer replaced so that the other navigation instruments can be powered up and checked

The inverter/charger and AC circuit breaker got wet. Needs replacing

Front starboard cabin needs interior trim

Master cabin (owners version hull) has some slight signs of water damage in the interior trim, and some cracks around the wooden door frame to the bed. The electricals in this hull all got wet (autopilot computer, AC circuit breaker, inverter/charger, main battery switches) but the lights and fans in this hull are now working.

Port engine needs new engine mount

Starboard side needs white plastic breather replaced at stern

The fiberglass repairs are structurally strong, but the gel coat needs to be sanded and polished to finish
