Vessel Information:
Vessel located on St. Croix on the hard. Sold as is where is.
Notes from survey Dec 16, 2018 we will be sending out staff to get updated pictures and notes. Vessel has been stood back up since.
OUTER HULL
The vessel was on the hard during Storm Maria and blew off her stands. The port side of the
vessel was holed in two places where the stands punctured the hull, both of the holes are above
the waterline. Visual inspection of the hull revealed no further damage to the hull. Further
investigation within the engine room was not possible as the batteries were dead and the access
to the space is via a electrically controlled set of rams. The fuel tanks on this vessel are saddle
tanks located outboard of each engine, the port fuel tank may have been punctured when the
stands penetrated the hull.
HELM
Although the helm was covered the gauge and switch panels show evidence of water damage.
Testing of the panels was not possible as the vessel batteries are dead. Canvas from aft bimini
frame and backdrop canvas are missing.
INTERIOR
The vessels interior has a large amount of free standing water in the compartments.
AFT CABIN
The water level in the portside aft cabin storage is 12” deep, The carpet in the cabin is soaked
HEAD
The level of the water in the head is 3’deep the compartment is a solid fiberglass reinforced
plastic liner (FRP) and is holding the water.
GALLEY
The refrigerator, storage drawers and cabinetry are full of water and the carpet is soaked the
level of water above the carpet in the galley is 3 to 4”.
FWD BERTH
The water level to the portside storage under the berth is 12” deep.
HEADLINER, WALLCOVERING, AND CURTAINS
All of the vinyl headliner, wallcoverings and curtains: have severe water damage and black mold
throughout the interior. The couch cushions show signs of water damage. The Airconditioning
unit shows signs of water damage.
CABINETRY
The lamination on most of the cabinets is starting to peel the electrical panel door in the galley
is swollen in sticking as is the door to the head.
RECTIFICATION OF DAMAGE
OUTER HULL
Cut back holes to solid material, the hull is cored using an inner layer of fiberglass, core mat an
outer layer of fiberglass and a Vinylester gel coat finish. Inspect the portside fuel tank and
replace if required, Inspect all engine and transmission mounts and repair or replace as
required, inspect all mounting surfaces within the engine room for all equipment and reattach
or replace mounts as required.
Charge and test batteries replace if required.
HELM
Test all gauges, switches and electronics for correct operation, check all connections to
switches, gauges and electronics for corrosion repair or replace as required. Replace broken
dash panels.
Replace missing/damaged canvas.
INTERIOR
Test all electrical components 110 VAC and 12VDC check electrical panel for corrosion.
Replace water damaged Cabinetry, Carpets, Curtains, Wall Coverings , Soft Furnishings, Clean all
surfaces in the head.
